That story brought back lots of memories of Friday nights under the lights in East Texas where football is king, but it's only a game without the halftime show.
Some of my fondest memories of way back then come from the same place at the same time surrounded by the same people and having you as my friend. We were small but we were strong and it helped us to grow into what we are today.
A forcible intake of air has occurred in my own circumstance upon listening to this wonderful memory. In my case I'd describe it as a breath of astonishment and joy as I began to hear your voice and the pattern of your uncommon delivery with the cadence and patience of a practiced story teller.
A pleasure to listen to and it brought back my own experiences as a young person at my high school and Junior high with fond memories of playing the game as well as those cheerleaders that I longed to be closer to. I too played in a band but not on the field. It brought back those memories as well. That is the charm and power of your stories Hank. All are relatable and require one to fetch back thoughts, smells, sounds and feelings that one might have thought were unretrievable. Nice start Hammering Hank. Keep them coming!
