Well, she now lives in town..her son took over the farm…no more chickens. Times change for sure. Our chicks were in a cage..in the house… and we had cats. They sure enjoyed sitting outside the cage watching them. My dad was in the Army and we moved every year. When he was stationed someplace we couldn’t go, we headed back to their hometown in Nebraska. As kids, I loved it. We would go to the farm where aunt/uncle cousins lived and play…truly a wonderful memory. Thanks for being you and sharing your stories…which bring back memories. I am sharing your podcasts with others. Sending blessings your way to you and yours. Denice

Very much enjoyed this…well, all of your podcasts. Brings back memories. When I was little, we girls got two chicks. Luckily, when they grew, we had an aunt on a farm that had chickens, so they went to a good home.

Thank you Denice. How lucky to have an aunt who raised chickens on her farm! When I was a little feller, many of my kinfolks had farms or at least homesteads with livestock of various kinds. When I had kids of my own that just wasn't true anymore. Now, its just stories. I wish my kids and grandkids had an aunt who raised chickens on her farm. :)
